Privacy Policy
Thank you for using Prayerified, a prayer verification app. Your privacy matters to us.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Prayerified, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information from Google OAuth
When you sign in with Google, we receive limited information:
- Name
- Email address
- A unique identifier from Google used to link your account
We use this to:
- Create your Prayerified account
- Authenticate you when you sign in
- Show your basic profile information inside the app
Important: We do not receive your Google password. Authentication is handled securely by Google; Prayerified never sees or stores your Google password.
1.2 Information You Provide in the App
When you use Prayerified, we store information so the app can function:
Prayer codes
- Your personal prayer code
- Codes you save from others
- Nicknames you add for saved codes (e.g., “Mom,” “Small Group,” “Friend at Work”)
Prayers and activity
- Prayers you create or record (topics/themes, durations, and related metadata)
- Time spent praying and timestamps
Notifications & preferences
- Notification settings (e.g., whether you allow reminders)
- Other in-app preferences related to your account
General account metadata
- Account creation date

- Basic technical metadata needed to keep your session secure and the app running (e.g., which authentication provider you used)
We do not publicly display any personally identifiable prayer details. Any public or shared stats are aggregated or anonymized.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Account creation and authentication: create/manage your account, sign you in with Google OAuth, manage sessions securely.
- Core app features: show your profile and saved prayer codes; manage nicknames and saved codes; track prayer durations and themes for your personal use.
- Notifications: send reminders/notifications if enabled and respect your preferences.
- App improvement & aggregated stats: analyze usage patterns (aggregated/anonymized) to improve performance, reliability, and UX.
- Legal, safety, and security: protect accounts/data and comply with applicable laws or valid legal requests.
We do not use your personal prayer activity to build advertising profiles or sell your data.
3. What We Don’t Collect or Track
We are intentionally conservative about what we collect. We do not collect or store:
- Your Google password
- Precise location data
- Long-term IP address logs tied to your identity (beyond what hosting providers may temporarily log for security purposes)
We do not use:
- Behavioral tracking for advertising
- Third-party ad networks
- Cross-site tracking cookies
About Analytics
We may use Google Analytics or similar tools only to understand how people use Prayerified (e.g., which pages are most visited) and to improve performance and reliability. These tools may collect anonymized or aggregated information such as page views, basic device information, and general usage patterns. We do not use analytics to track individual prayers or create advertising profiles. You can typically control or limit analytics cookies using your browser settings or plugins.
4. Cookies and Sessions
Prayerified uses cookies and similar technologies primarily for session management.
Session cookies
- We use cookies through our authentication system (Supabase) to keep you signed in securely.
- These cookies are considered “essential” because they are required for the app to function correctly.
- We do not use these cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
- You can clear cookies in your browser at any time, but doing so may sign you out and affect app functionality.
5. Sharing Your Information with Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information. We only share with:
- Service providers: hosting providers, database/storage providers, authentication providers (Google OAuth), and analytics providers (e.g., Google Analytics, if enabled). These providers may use your information only to perform services for us and must protect it.
- Google (for sign-in): used solely to authenticate your account; Google’s use is governed by their own privacy policy.
- Legal requirements: we may disclose information if necessary to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect rights/property/safety.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
How long we keep your data
We keep your account data as long as your account is active so we can keep your profile, saved codes, and prayers available and provide accurate stats/history. We may retain aggregated/anonymized data (e.g., usage stats) after deletion, but it cannot be linked back to you personally.
How to delete your account
- Use the in-app account settings (if available) to delete your account, or
- Contact us at support@prayerified.com to request account deletion.
Once deleted, personal account data in primary systems is removed or anonymized within a reasonable period. Some data may remain in backups for a limited time until overwritten, but it will not be used for active processing.
7. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including:
- Encryption in transit (HTTPS)
- Restricted access to database and infrastructure
- Best practices for secure storage and up-to-date dependencies
However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

- Manage prayer codes and data (add/edit/delete saved codes and nicknames).
- Delete prayers or activity logs where supported.

9. Children’s Privacy
Prayerified is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has created an account or provided personal information, we will delete that information and close the account.
